The 7th Sunday of Easter

Hello Friends, I am resending this because I mistakenly relayed the information that Pete Wilking had entered the Church Triumphant. Happily he has not, but sadly his wonderful father, Rich Wilking has. This is the corrected eBlast. I sincerely apologize for my unfortunate error.
Hi FPC Members and Friends,

We have wonderful news to pass along from FPC’s Pastor Nominating Committee!

The PNC has selected the Pastor Candidate the PNC believes God is calling to serve as the next Senior Pastor/Head of Staff of First Presbyterian Church.

Last night, at the PNC’s request, the Session called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, June 12th at 10am in Jim Thomas Hall. The purpose of the meeting is for the PNC to make their report to the congregation, present their Nominee, and for the congregation to vote on the PNC’s request to extend a call to the Nominee as FPC’s Senior Pastor/Head of Staff.

The PNC report will describe their process of discerning God’s call and also discuss the Nominee’s qualifications, experience, and gifts for ministry.

Information about the Pastor Nominee will be sent out by US Postal Service to FPC members during the week before the meeting.

We are looking forward to a great celebration on June 12th. We are asking every FPC member who is able to attend in person. A Zoom link will be in the Friday e-blast and on the FPC online calendar for those who need to attend virtually.

There will be an expanded Fellowship Time/Coffee Hour in Jim Thomas Hall beginning after the 8:30am Worship Service and continuing until the 10am Congregational Meeting.

After the 11am Worship Service on June 12 there will be a Luncheon for VBS Volunteers.

Please plan on joining us for a wonderful day of Celebration and Thanksgiving on June 12th.
