The Squawk!

'We can achieve all academic missions.'

Literacy Night as part of our annual Literacy Week which ran this past week. Thank you to all of our students and families who joined us.

Apopka Memorial Middle School Community Brief Monday, February 3, 2025

This Monday, February 3 we kick-off two special national commemorative periods: 1) Black History Month; and 2) National School Counseling Week which is always observed during the first week of February. In observance of Black History Month, we will have several special activities which will be shared with the community in future issues and on our social media.

National School Counseling Week is a period set out to increase awareness of the important and necessary role school counselors play in the lives of our students. Here at Apopka, much of the crucial work our school counselors perform goes unseen as they frequently work one-on-one with our Seahawks on a variety of issues unique to each student. They each work very hard to help develop well-rounded students by guiding them through their academic, social-emotional, and various school-related needs. If you have the opportunity this week, please take a moment to thank one of our school counselors for their efforts. I know they would be very glad to hear a few positive words from a community member.

Thank you for reading about some of our recent Seahawk happenings and other success stories. Seahawks, prepare to make February and this year's Black History Month one of your strongest periods of 2024-2025 in terms of your goals and with academic achievement. Have a great week!
