'We can achieve all academic missions.'
| | Last week was National Assistant Principals Week. Assistant Principal Yount (left) and Assistant Principal Pearce strike a pose in their superhero costumes. AP Yount and AP Pearce are extremely dedicated to our Seahawks' academic success and both are excellent leaders. Like our Apopka classroom teachers, they truly are superheroes! | | Apopka Memorial Middle School Community Brief Monday, April 14, 2025 | |
Dear Mark,
We are finally entering the home stretch of the 2024-2025 school year! We are already three weeks into the 4th marking period, temperatures are starting to rise, and nearly all of us have our thoughts set on Summer Break, which is a mere 6 weeks away. For sure, this is a wonderful time of the year. But it can also be a perilous time of year with respect to staying focused on academic and personal goals. As we turn into the second half of April this week, I ask that all of our Seahawks continue to maximize each instructional day and as the classroom pictures in this issue clearly illustrate, keep up the fine work and effort being made so far this 4th quarter.
This Tuesday is the last opportunity for our Apopka parents & guardians to complete the 2025 Family Survey. The survey consists of only two multiple choice questions plus one open-ended question where you may elaborate on school improvement or general operations issues. The survey is completely anonymous as we do not see individual results, only a roll-up of everyone's survey at the end. We will use the findings to shape our school improvement plans. Please, if this applies to your family, kindly take just a couple of minutes today and let us know your views on Apopka Memorial Middle School.
Thank you for reading.

"To Flush Or Not To Flush?"
Do you know what happens in the sewer system after you flush? Why is it bad to use toilets as trash cans? What are the 3 P's? To help creatively answer these questions and explain what does or does not belong down toilets, we're looking for public service announcements or video entries. You can create a newscast, news story, skit, animation, commercial or even a music video. Let your imagination run wild, but please follow the instructions carefully if you'd like to be considered for a cash prize!
