The Squawk!

'We can achieve all academic missions.'

Apopka Memorial Middle School Community Brief Monday, March 3, 2025

On both Wednesday and Thursday, students will participate in the third administration (Progress Monitoring #3 or 'PM3') of the Grade 6/7/8 Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Reading and Mathematics assessments. The results from PM3 will show how well your student has mastered the grade level content standards this year. These results should be available on line usually within about 24 hours - instructions. Please make sure your student is at school on March 5th and March 6th. They will need to have their fully charged computer and its charger with them during both days.

We now only have nine days of school left for students before spring break. Between now and then, we do have special events coming up including our performance of The Wiz on March 5th and March 6th of this week. On March 10th we will have the Science Fair. Both of these special events would make for an entertaining experience for our Apopka families, so please try to participate in at least one. Of course if you are reading this, then you are naturally invited to this Monday's School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting which normally runs no more than 1 hour. We always appreciate community input at the SAC meetings.

Thank you for your support with the upcoming PM3 this week as we want all of our Seahawks to perform at their very best. Thank you also for reading.
