Happy Thursday to you all! Isn't October weather spectacular here? We don't even have to spend money to find it. It's right outside our door. Like most good things, I tend to take it for granted. For example, when I checked the weather for the weekend and saw that the forecast predicts rain for Saturday, again. I almost complained and allowed it to take away the beauty of the five days before Saturday. Sometimes, I learn hard!
What do I keep occupied with right now? Lots of fun things! With the new greenhouse comes many decisions about where and how things get set up for an enjoyable experience for our guests. Janel and I had the opportunity to take a trip to Cincinnati, OH, two weeks ago and tour garden centers. They were all family affairs, several, even four generations! It was great talking with the folks, hearing their inside stories, what works for them and what doesn't. We came home with ideas, probably too many!
We didn't just come home with ideas; I also found a tree that I had been wishing for! A weeping Alaskan Cedar. I love their whimsical charm and how they dance in the wind. It has a great home in the corner of my yard. It started its life in Oregon, was sold to a nurseryman in Ohio, and finally found its home on a sunny hill in Maryland. A continued story of its own! I'm happy to have it be part of my continuing story.
I wish you a blessed day filled with lots of nature.
