Apple Granola Crisp
From Smitten Kitchen
"This crisp is supposed to be the fall answer to my beloved breakfast apricot crisp. I maintain that baked fruit crisps needn’t just be dessert food and if you’re only having them after dinner, you’re missing out. The trick is to dial back the sugar significantly, keep the topping as granola-like as possible and eat it cold, first thing in the morning, with a generous helping of your favorite yogurt on top."

Phillips Farms
Apples anyone? Now is the time of year to get your local favorites with so many varieties to choose from. Don’t know which ones to get? You’re in luck because this weekend is the “Apple Jam” at the market. Just head over to the Apple Sampling Tent and give them all a try, and you're sure to find one (or two or three) that will simply amaze you. Phillips Farms will have the following apple varieties available this week at the market: Honeycrisp, Fuji, Gala, Macoun, Jonagold, Ambrosia, Golden Delicious, Shizuka, Cortland and Suncrisp. Also, everyone’s favorite Asian pears, and don’t forget the apple cider. Vegetables at Phillips Farms this week: Brussels sprouts, fennel, spinach, Sungold cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, Kirby cucumbers and garlic.
