Annual Apple Sampling
Think outside the Macintosh! Sample more than twenty kinds of apples in our annual tasting - including organic and heirloom varieties. This is a great way to learn which apples are best for certain applications, Which ones hold their shape in a pie, or won't turn brown in a salad? Or which ones will your kids eat! We'll have handy little checklists so you can check off your favorites and know which farmer is offering them.

Phillips Farms will have all your favorite apples for this Saturday’s EFM Apple Jam…. and don’t forget your pumpkins for Halloween! Other produce at Phillips Farms this week includes: cauliflower (all colors), broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, winter squash, fennel, leeks, lettuce, radishes, Jersey tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, carrots, bok choy, kale, swiss chard, beets, onions, potatoes, garlic, fresh herbs and more.  Fruits include over 15 varieties of apples and pears, plus their Apple Cider and Honeycrisp Apple Cider. And plenty of fragrant Eucalyptus bunches!
Scholl Orchards
Those donuts...
Scholl's apple line-up has it all sweet, tart, crunchy, red, green, and everything in between: Honeycrisp, Ludacrisp, EverCrisp, Crimson Crisp, Daybreak Fuji, Gala, McIntosh, Crimson Gold, Macoun, Cortland, Ida Red, Stayman Winesap, and Granny Smith.

Stock up on fresh pressed cider (try it it hot with some mulling spices) and apple cider donuts for all the fall vibes.

On the veggie end of the spectrum, are tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, wax beans, green beans, pepper and eggplant.
Salvaterra's Gardens
Organic heirlooms
Salvaterra's apple harvest has been impressive this year! No small feat considering how challenging it is to grow apples organically. Be sure to stop be and check out their vast array of organic heirloom apple varieties including Liberty, Freedom, Grimes Golden, Esophus Spitzenburg, King David, Famuce, and Sal's Red
Cabbage Throw Farm
Great greens for apples
In honor of Apple Jam, Comeback Farm organic apples and pears will be featured at Cabbage Throw Farm. In partnership on certified organic preserved farmland, Landowner Farmer Mark, has been hauling in the bounty of his historic heirloom apple varieties from over 3 acres of fruit trees. If you're lucky, you may even snag a few of the 'Roxbury Russet,' believed to be the oldest apple cultivar bred in the United States, having first been discovered and named in the mid-17th century in the former Town of Roxbury, part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony southwest of Boston. Some folks say the flavor is similar to guava and the texture is like a coconut. It has a very high sugar content, though you may not notice it due to the other complex flavors.

Cabbage Throw Farm will have complimentary salad greens, including farmers' mix, spring mix, and gem romaine along with several varieties of winter squash that all pair well with the sweet fall flavor of apples and pears. Roasted winter squash can warm up many meals and your pooches will love them too!

Additional produce available includes cabbage, napa cabbage, fennel, carrots, celery, beets, kohlrabi, specialty radish, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, dandelion greens, herbs, shallots, onions, garlic and more.
