TEDCO has officially announced the morning keynote speakers for the 2026 Entrepreneur Expo!

Joining the stage for opening remarks will be Jay Perman, Chancellor for the University System of Maryland. After his remarks, TEDCO will welcome our own CEO, Troy LeMaile-Stovall, and guest Anirban Basu, Chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group to the stage for an informative fireside discussion.

Join TEDCO for a live webinar on Monday April 6, 2026 at 10:00 am, in collaboration with the Kingdom of Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Jordan Source, University System of Maryland (USM), and the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI).

Laurel Thrive Small Business Grant

Funding Amount: $10,000


Specifically for businesses located (or moving) within the City of Laurel, this grant provides foundational capital for new businesses to expand and hire. It is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so early application is highly recommended.

Buy Maryland Cybersecurity (BMC) Tax Credit


Deadline: Rolling

Funding Amount: 50% of purchase price (up to $50,000 credit for the buyer)


Qualified Maryland Companies may claim a tax credit for 50% of the net purchase price of cybersecurity technologies and services purchased from a Qualified Maryland Cybersecurity Seller.

Maryland Technology Internship Program (MTIP)


Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2026


Funding Amount:

Up to $5,500 annually per intern


Administered by UMBC and funded by the State of Maryland MTIP helps Maryland retain top tech talent by increasing the number of paid technical internships offered in the state.

Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator (MEIA) Grants


Deadline: Rolling

Funding Amount: Up to 300,000


Supports Maryland-based companies developing innovative clean energy technologies. Funding can be used for early-stage commercialization, pilot projects, and product validation.

DHCD Technical Assistance Grant (TAG)


Deadline: March 20, 2026

Funding Amount:

Up to $50,000


This program helps local governments and nonprofits cover operating costs related to community revitalization and economic development. Funds can be used for professional services, salaries, or technology costs that strengthen your business's impact on the local economy.


Purple Line Small

Business Grants


Deadline: April 3, 2026

Funding Amount:

Up to $50,000


If your business is located within one-quarter mile of the Purple Line light rail alignment, you may be eligible for grants to offset construction impacts. This round is specifically for businesses that have been operational in that corridor and need capital to maintain or improve operations.

TEDCO’s Maryland Innovation Initiative Announces $647,000 Granted to Baltimore Innovation Initiative Awardees


This round of awardees will divide $647,000 amongst the 13 awardees. The BII Pilot Program falls under the Maryland Innovation Initiative (MII), fueling innovation and economic impact in the Baltimore region.


The BII was created to support an equitable innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem within higher education institutions in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

TEDCO Announces the 2026 BRIDGE Proposal Lab Cohort


The intensive business development accelerator program provides participants with 310 hours of instruction and coaching; hands-on workshops; certified training through OST’s U.S. Department of Labor–recognized Apprenticeship program; tailored mentorship from OST and TEDCO experts; access to WinMoreBD.ai, OST Global Solutions’ (OST) proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) platform for smarter pipeline building; and an alumni network membership.

Alex Choi is one of 32 selected to participate in Leadership Maryland’s six-month professional development program for rising stars and high-potential employees.

TEDCO’s Geyssel Gonzalez Chosen for LMD’s Executive Program’s Class of 2026



Geyssel Gonzalez is one of 53 individuals chosen for the Leadership Maryland Executive Program’s 33rd class, who will complete the eight-month, hands-on learning program focused on the state’s most vital issues.
