Application Deadline
Study Scholarship for Fine Art, Design/Visual Communication and Film

Highly qualified final year undergraduate students or those who have received an undergraduate degree of all disciplines may apply for the DAAD Study Scholarship for Fine Art, Design/Visual Communication and Film for a full Master's degree program or complementary course at a German university.  Apply by November 30th , 2018.

PhD and Post Docs
DAAD/AICGS Research Fellowship Program

This research fellowship program is designed to bring both junior and senior scholars and specialists working on Germany, Europe, and/or transatlantic relations to AICGS, which is located in Washington, DC, for stays of two to three months each. Apply by December 1st, 2018 .

Art Exhibition at the German Consulate General
SUPER SOFT SKILLS Exhibition
 
DAAD-sponsored artist Franziska Jyrch will showcase her first solo exhibition in North America at the German Consulate General starting on November 16th . SUPER SOFT SKILLS will include large-format paintings, small-scale sculptures, and in-situ settings that address the characteristics of the host’s space and the context of the exhibition. St. Martin's Day in Germany

Even though St. Martin's Day is not an official German holiday, it is a cultural tradition. On November 11th , children and their parents will walk through the streets with home-made lanterns, singing songs (usually in exchange for candy and other treats) to honor St. Martin, who was renowned for helping those in need.

Results will be announced through the portal in April. Please do not call or email. You will receive an e-mail notification confirming receipt of your application eight weeks after the deadline. Application decisions will not be accompanied by an explanation.

that Germany has had several capital cities over the course of its history, including Aachen, Regensburg, Frankfurt-am-Main, Nuremberg, Berlin, Weimar, Bonn (and East Berlin), and, since 1990, Berlin again.

FU Berlin (FUBIS)

FUBiS is an intensive academic program through which students can earn credits that may be counted toward their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 3 to 6 weeks taking place both in summer and winter. Students can choose between subject classes (mostly taught in English) and German language courses . Field trips within Berlin are an integral part of every course.
