DAAD/AICGS Research Fellowship Program

This research fellowship program is designed to bring both junior and senior scholars and specialists working on Germany, Europe, and/or transatlantic relations to AICGS, which is located in Washington, DC, for stays of two to three months each. Apply by December 1st .

University Summer Course Grants

This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany.  Apply by December 1st.

RISE Germany

RISE Germany is a 10-12 week summer internship program for undergraduates in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, and computer science. Bachelor students receive the opportunity to work with researchers at universities and research institutions across Germany. The working language is English.  Apply by December 15th.

December 6th marks the feast day of St. Nicholas (Sankt Nikolaus), a bishop in what is now Turkey. On the night of December 5th, children can leave their shoes by the window or door so that St. Nikolaus can fill them with treats.
