Postgraduate Studies in the Fields of Fine Art, Film, Design/Visual Communication

Continue your education in the fields of Fine Art, Film, Design/Visual Communication in Germany with a graduate program or continuing course of study. Apply to our head office in Germany by November 30th .

University Summer Course Grants

This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities, which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany. Apply by December 1st.

RISE Germany

RISE Germany is a 10-12 week summer internship program for undergraduates in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, and computer science. Students receive the opportunity to work with researchers at universities and research institutions across Germany. The working language is English.   Apply by December 15th.

RISE Professional

RISE Professional offers summer research internships in Germany to Master’s and PhD students from North America at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry in the same fields as mentioned above. Apply by December 15th.

Our DAAD regional office in New York is offering an internship in network administration. We are seeking Information Technology majors   who are nearing the end of their studies   or   IT graduate students. The internship will take place in New York City and interns will receive a stipend.

The DWIH ( German Center for Research and Innovation) New York is looking for a Media and Operations Intern to support their work in New York. Interns receive a stipend and have a chance to learn first-hand about transatlantic science diplomacy.

Every year, Institute of International Education (IIE), with the support of the U.S. Dept. of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs conducts a survey of international student mobility in the United States. This year's data showcased Germany as a steadfast competitor in the top five countries of choice for students going abroad. Read more here .

DAAD Summer Study Grant Alumna Sophia Angele-Kuehn

Sophia Angele-Kuehn was born the US but has family roots in Germany. She is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Connecticut College. In 2018, Sophia participated in a DAAD-funded University Summer Course at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg where she took a course on literature following the German reunification process.
