Study Scholarship in Architecture

US students who have gained a first university degree in the areas of Architecture, Interior Design, Monument Conservation, Urban Planning/Urban Development are eligible to apply for the Study Scholarship in Architecture to pursue a Master's degree in Germany. Apply by September 30th .

Call for Project Proposals
RISE Worldwide

Calling all research groups, labs, and doctoral students interested in hosting a motivated and qualified student from Germany to assist with research and lab work for your proposed project. The students have academic training in the STEM fields and receive a DAAD scholarship to help cover expenses and travel costs.  Submit by October 15th .

Study Scholarship for Graduates of All Disciplines

Highly qualified final year undergraduate students or eligible graduates may apply for the DAAD Study Scholarship for a full Master's degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a postgraduate or Master's degree program completed in the home country.  Apply by
November 4th.

University Summer Course Grants

This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany. Apply by December 1st.

I'm a current sophomore pursuing my undergraduate degree in a STEM-field. Do I need to speak German in order to apply for the RISE program?

No! German language is not required. The working language in the labs where you would be conducting your summer research internship is English .

Fun Fact
Did you know...

... that just a few days ago, a court in Frankfurt ruled that a hangover is an illness? This decision coincidentally coincided with Oktoberfest celebrations in nearby Munich. The case itself involves a company that manufactured a "hangover-fighting" product. The court ruled against the company, because it is illegal in Germany to advertise that foods or supplements cure human ailments or diseases, in this case a hangover.

FUBiS Berlin: International Summer and Winter University

FUBiS is an intensive academic program of Freie Universität Berlin through which students can earn credits that may be counted toward their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 3 to 6 weeks taking place both in summer and winter. Students can choose between subject classes (mostly taught in English) and German language courses . Field trips within Berlin are an integral part of every course.
