This specialized DAAD program offers research grants to highly-qualified undergraduate and graduate students who are nominated by their department/program chairs. The grant may be used for short-term research (one to two months) in Germany.  Apply by  July 1st, 2019.

Mee t DAAD Language Assistant Anna-Sophie Berges

Anna-Sophie Berges completed her teaching degree for secondary level school at the University of Education in Heidelberg, Germany, in spring 2018. Shortly afterwards, she received a scholarship from DAAD for the Language Assistant Program and now teaches German as a Foreign Language at University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

No, DAAD does not provide scholarships for international students pursuing a medical degree in Germany.

Did you know...

... that Father's Day in Germany coincides with Ascension Day (Christi Himmelfahrt)? Both are therefore celebrated 40 days after Easter, usually falling on a Thursday in May, whereas Father's Day in the United States is celebrated on the third Sunday in June, so tomorrow!
