NYS COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program
Applications Now Open (New)
Empire State Development is happy to announce the New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program, which was created to provide flexible grant assistance to currently viable small businesses, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations in the State of New York who have experienced economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is NOW OPEN.

Grant awards will be calculated based on a business’ annual gross receipts for 2019:

  • Annual gross receipts = $25,000-$49,999: $5,000/business;
  • Annual gross receipts = $50,000-$99,999: $10,000/business; and
  • Annual gross receipts = $100,000-$500,000: 10% of gross receipts (max grant is $50,000).

Closure of Paycheck Protection Program
The Paycheck Protection Program officially closed on May 31, 2021 and is no longer accepting any applications. The SBA is still offering assistance through other COVID-19 relief programs.

Building Your 10-Star Experience

Thincubator will be launching their latest online sprint starting June 14.

Over 3 weeks (at your own pace) participants will take lessons from the likes of Airbnb, Apple, Ferrari and more and help develop a customer experience that creates true fans and customers that would miss you if you weren’t there.

This sprint is free and open to the public. Participants will have access to all video modules through 8/30/21
County Leaders Forum

Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valley will be hosting a county leaders forum on June 16 to discuss Covid-19 and its impact on the region. Panelists will include Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Herkimer County Board Chairman Vincent Bono, Otsego County Board Chairman David Bliss, Madison County Board Chairman John Becker, and Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon.
