Join a Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference Committee this summer!

Youth committee members, youth leaders, and adult mentors are wanted for the 2026 Kids Zone Committee and the 2026 School Supply Drive Committee! Interest surveys are open now through Wednesday, May 6. Level up your summer by meeting new people, building skills, and making a difference.

School Supply Drive and Distribution Committee

School Supply Drive Committee participants help more than 700 students get access to essential items for a successful new school year. Youth participants facilitate backpack and supply drives in locations spanning Folsom to Placerville, host the Stuff the Bus event, sort and count donations, design and plan the distribution event, implement the distribution event, and manage volunteers at the distribution event and throughout the process.

The School Supply Drive Committee meets June through August and is open to youth entering grades 6-12 in the 2026-27 school year. Adult Mentor volunteers are also needed for this committee.

Kids Zone Committee

Kids Zone Committee participants plan and host the Kids Zone Area at the El Dorado Hills Town Center Fireworks & Freedom Concert, to be held July 3, 2026. Committee participants plan and select snacks and glow toys, organize and manage volunteers, secure sponsorships, market the event, and oversee tickets and concessions. This event is one of the largest youth-led fundraisers benefiting Hands4Hope's Education and Outreach Programs.

The Kids Zone Committee meets May through mid-July and is open to youth entering grades 6-12 in the 2026-27 school year. Adult Mentor volunteers are also needed for this committee.
