Applications are now open for IDRA's new Youth Advisory Board!
To prioritize students in our decision-making, we are launching our first Texas-based Youth Advisory Board. Throughout 2022, this group of 10th-12th grade students will give IDRA actionable recommendations to ensure our initiatives continue centering the expertise, needs, and dreams of young people and their families.

Board members will learn how to analyze education policies and research, build networks with other groups of young advocates, host a youth symposium, and create social media content to engage community members.

Board members will benefit from…
A virtual program with $3,000 stipend (5 hours a week for 40 weeks in 2022)
Flexible meeting times to accommodate students' schedules
A computer to use during the program
Training on research, advocacy and community engagement strategies to sharpen relationship-building and presentation skills
IDRA values the voices and perspectives of all young Texans. We highly encourage students with disabilities, LGBTQ+ students, and students from Black, Latinx/e, Arab, Asian, Pacific Islander and Native communities to apply.
