Fellowship will provide a stipend or will work with
fellow to obtain college credit.
Fellowship is for 6 (six) months.
Fellowship requires 20 hours/week commitment.
The fellows duties include, but not limited to:
- conducting research and reports;
- receiving and resolving inquiries;
- attending meetings and briefing on behalf of Brenda Lopez Romero;
- preparing policy memos;
- canvass or knock on doors;
- voter outreach to schools, business, organizations, and faith groups;
- producing the newsletter and social media content; and
- working on presentations and graphic designs; and
- other tasks as assigned.
This position requires:
- ability to travel (having reliable personal transportation is required);
- work odd hours including weekends and evenings;
- a willingness to learn and have FUN; and
- seeking to work for a progressive campaign.
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in legislative/policy research, journalism, communications, finance, advocacy experience in government affairs, or community organizing and development; and
- being a self starter, innovating, and hustler.
