At Mason, we are proud of the musical depth, academic rigor, and diversity of opportunities we offer our students. The combined experience of our faculty in solo, chamber, band, orchestral, operatic, jazz, contemporary, and world music is more extensive than can be found at most public research universities. Our facilities in the de Laski Performing Arts Building and Music/Theater Building offer spacious practice and rehearsal facilities with Steinway grand pianos throughout. The Center for the Arts, Harris Theatre, and Hylton Performing Arts Center are some of the finest performance spaces in the Northern Virginia region. You’ll enjoy living minutes from the nation’s capital and the vibrant arts scene in Washington DC, while also feeling right at home at one of the largest and most beautiful residential campuses in Virginia.
