Manasvi Patwari (17 | Cumming, Georgia) is addressing two important needs in pediatric healthcare: She wants to empower young people to take meaningful action when it comes to healthcare issues and also increase awareness of health risks that affect children and families. Many students are passionate about healthcare but they lack opportunities to conduct research, educate others, advocate for children, or create solutions to real community problems. At the same time, families may struggle to find clear, understandable information about pediatric health concerns.
Manasvi is advancing pediatric health through youth-led initiatives and direct policy advocacy. As the founder of EvoSol Pediatrics, a global youth-led nonprofit reaching more than 35K students, she creates opportunities for youth to engage in pediatric health education, research, advocacy, and service. She is also developing a data-driven lead screening act in Georgia to close gaps in early childhood lead detection. The proposal would integrate standardized blood lead testing into existing well-child visits, minimizing additional appointments and costs by using established clinical workflows and insurance structures. Manasvi has brought the proposal to Georgia policymakers through a formal policy brief and ongoing discussions about potential implementation. Through this work, she is translating pediatric health research into tangible community advocacy and policy solutions.
Looking into the future, Manasvi aspires to pursue a career in pediatric surgery while also improving children’s health through research and innovation.
