The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will give six awards to deserving small businesses at the 39th annual Small Business Celebration Awards Luncheon on June 17. Will you be the one stepping into the spotlight? Is it your company name that will be called from the podium?

Your journey to the stage for acceptance (and glory!) begins when you fill out the KC Chamber’s Awards Application by March 14. The award possibilities are listed below, and each application is available here.

• Mr. K Award for Small Business of the Year
• Legacy of Kansas City Award for 15+ years in business
• Small Business Equity Award
• Weida Award for International Small Business of the Year
• Luminary Arts & Creative Small Business Award
• Emerging Small Business Award for less than 3 years in business

If you submit an application for any of the awards listed above, you will automatically be invited to have a free display booth at the 2025 Small Business Candidates’ Showcase at Union Station on Wednesday, April 2. This is an outstanding opportunity to grow your network within the community and with other small businesses like yours.

Criteria

In order to be a Top 10 or Small Business Award candidate, keep in mind that Chamber members must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a for-profit business headquartered in the Greater Kansas City area
• Employ no more than 250 full-time equivalent employees
• Be committed to good business practices    
• Have grown or sustained employee count and/or sales
• Have a good history of employee relations
