Good afternoon!


As a current Community Leader, we are inviting you to apply to continue this important work! Early Care and Education Resource and Referral (ECERR) services help every family have access to resources and services that promote safe and healthy learning environments for young children. United 4 Children has been selected to oversee these efforts for the state of Missouri in collaboration with Community Leaders.


Community Leaders will: 

Increase Awareness of: 

• early childhood programs in the area 

• resources in the local community 

• the strengths and needs of the region 

 

Promote Childhood Programs by:  

• consolidating networking and advisory activities when possible 

• conducting targeted community outreach activities  

• recruiting providers to work in early care and education programs 

 

Key Activities:  

• Identify and collect information about local resources 

• Partner with United 4 Children to keep resource database up to date 

• Promote the mission and work of the ECERR at a local level 

• Attend local stakeholder meetings

Once the application is closed, the selection committee will evaluate all submissions utilizing the rubric below. Stakeholders (community partners, area agencies, community members, etc.) will vote for the finalists when a region has more nominees than available spots. All nominees will be notified if they have been selected to be a community leader by August 31st .

Notes:

* Preference shall be given to community leaders who have successfully engaged in state agency initiatives related to coordinating regional ECE efforts, i.e. Regional Hub Readiness, Readiness 2.0, and various community leader activities. 

* * 3 points for agencies providing exceptional information demonstrating experience.  2 points for partial information demonstrating experience.  1 point for agencies not elaborating on experience. 

** * 3 points for agencies prepared to provide up to 50% of match. 2 points for agencies who can possibly provide up to 50% of match. 1 point for agencies who cannot provide up to 50% with an explanation on why.
