Program Description
Internationally known child and adult psychoanalyst Joshua Durban will offer a two-trimester intensive program for mental health professionals. In this clinically oriented series of classes, Mr. Durban will review the development of selected psychoanalytic perspectives that have emerged in recent decades to treat individuals on the autisto-psychotic spectrum. This course provides the opportunity to develop and deepen the psychoanalytic knowledge and therapeutic skills necessary to understand and work with autistic and psychotic children, adolescents, and adults as well as those with autistic or psychotic pockets in an otherwise non-autistic or non-psychotic personality.

Overview and Class Structure
The Winter Trimester consists of 10 Sunday classes beginning January 30, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (PST) held on Zoom. Theoretical concepts will be taught each week by Joshua Durban (9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.) followed by a case-based seminar (10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.) in which clinical examples from the practices of the class participants will be presented and discussed. The Spring Trimester will be held on 10 Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (PST).

Applications will be accepted from all mental health professionals who hold a valid license (LCSW, MD, MFT, PhD, PsyD, RN) or who have authorization to work under a clinician holding a valid license in an appropriate field.
