As you can see from the nonprofits below, LT alumni are highly valued! We hope you can find an organization doing work you believe in and want to be involved with.

In addition to this newsletter, we recommend checking out United Way of King County's ongoing list of board and committee opportunities on their website. Board Member Spotlight: Anjali Bhagat, LT'06, Microsoft
Anjali recently joined the board of Team Read after seeing the announcement in our last newsletter. Here's what motivated Anjali to join the board:

"As I was looking to engage more deeply in the nonprofit community, Sue suggested I review the latest LT Leaders on Board Newsletter. Through the newsletter, I learned about so many incredible nonprofits making a significant impact in our community. For me personally, Team Read’s mission, vision, and goals deeply resonated with me, as all children deserve to be great readers. The innovative dual-impact model Team Read created not only helps young students become confident readers but also trains teens within the community to be tutors. After speaking with the Executive Director, several board members, and attending a Board meeting; I knew this would be a great fit. I am thrilled to be joining the Board and look forward to continuing my learning while contributing towards reaching Team Read’s mission, vision and goals."
