The purpose of BOLD is to motivate, educate, prepare, and connect Greater Cincinnati community leaders to serve on local nonprofit boards or in other high-level volunteer roles.
“Becoming BOLD” is rooted in the idea that participation in a BOLD cohort is a transformational experience. Participants enter the program with the heart and passion to serve and exit the program armed with the expertise, knowledge, and connections to serve boldly.

"Before I came into the BOLD program, my number one fear in any meeting is being afraid of what other people thought of me when I spoke. Because of this fear, I was afraid to speak up and talk during meetings. The speakers from the Mayerson Academy gave me the courage to speak up at meetings and use my strength-filled rallying call." - BOLD 1 Participant
