📢 Georgia: DECAL Scholars CDA Training Scholarship

Turn Passion Into Credentials—With Grant Support CLICK HERE

DECAL has reopened the CDA Scholarship application window as of Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Who can apply: Georgia early childhood professionals who meet the eligibility requirements, including:

Working 30+ hours/week in a DECAL-licensed child care center or home, exempt GA Head Start, GA Lottery-funded Pre-K (public school), or Department of Defense program (or 15+ hours/week in a DECAL-licensed after-school program)
At least 6 months of continuous paid employment as a Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Floater, Director, Assistant Director, or Owner
A high school diploma or GED
On track to complete 120 hours of CDA training and 480 clock hours before scheduling the CDA assessment

If you qualify, we encourage you to apply and take advantage of this funding opportunity.

Big Feelings Helper (Quick Script) 💛

When emotions are LOUD, because big feelings happen… even before circle time.

Try this quick “CALM” reset (1–3 minutes):

C — Count breaths: “Smell the flower… blow the candle” (3 times)
A — Ask: “Where do you feel it in your body?” (tummy, hands, face?)
L — Label: “It sounds like you’re feeling ___.” (mad, sad, worried, frustrated)
M — Move: wall push-ups, butterfly breaths, or a short “shake it out”
