October Membership Luncheon ft. Janet Johanson

Janet Johanson is the founder of BevSource. Janet is always looking for what's next and her passion has driven clients across North America and overseas to launch their beverage creations. Janet's commitment to excellence exists not only in the work place, but in the community, as evidenced by her volunteer work and mentoring. Her drive to fulfill the needs of the beverage industry resulted in The Lab — a place for makers and tasters to come together.

In 2019 BevSource launched The Lab, LLC, a first-of-its-kind pilot production and quality testing facility with an adjacent taproom where tasters and makers can co-create the next generation of innovative beverages. In 2020, Johanson also started the Black Business is Beautiful Market, an outdoor space where the local community can come together to purchase goods and services from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) businesses on the second Saturday of each month outside The Lab.

JOIN US FOR A MORNING OF AFFIRMATION. YOU WILL AFFIRM YOUR CONCERN ABOUT RACIAL INEQUITIES AND YOU WILL BE SHOWN A WAY TO ADDRESS THOSE INEQUITIES.

Yearly, more than 300 young African American youth and men come to Ujamaa Place. Most have been involved in our criminal justice systems. They arrive hopeless – without stable housing, education pathways or trained for gainful employment. Mental and chemical health issues suffocate their lives. Ujamaa Place and its Theory of Transformation program provides these enrollees HOPE.
Please become a part of that HOPE.

The morning will feature music from T. Mychael Rambo and accompanist Tom West. Thank you to 3M Innovation Center for hosting our program.
