5 Tips for Reducing Energy Waste
Cold weather forces your heating system to work longer. If you heat with electricity, that typically means high bills in winter months.

  1. You can save money for every degree your thermostat is turned down.
  2. Keep windows and doors closed to keep heat in.
  3. Open curtains or blinds during the day to let in heat from the sun.
  4. Seal air leaks around doors and windows.
  5. Use a portable heater in the area you spend most of your time in.
Warming Tree Brings in More than 1,000 Items
Thanks to generous donations from our customers, staff, and Board members, we were able to collect 1,055 warming items this year.

We received 95 blankets that were donated to the Amani Center. The remaining 960 warming items were donated to Community Action Team.

This is the fifth year we have had the Warming Tree.
