Celebrating Black History Month | |
As part of a series honoring Black History Month throughout February, a special thank you goes out to Austin Dean Ashford, who engaged the audience in creative and innovative activities, stories, beatboxing, and ukulele accompanied songs and spoken word. The event was curated by Professor Andrew Va'i, part-time Ethnic Studies faculty member and Nesians Unite Advisor, and took place in the Black Cultural Resource Center (BCRC). On February 15, Chabot College had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Mohammad Humayan Qayoumi, President Emeritus San Jose State University, for an exclusive program about second-century scholar Al-Biruni and his important discoveries in the sciences, mathematics, culture, and the humanities. This enlightening and inspiring event was part of Afghan Care's Lifelong Learning Series.

Congratulations to the Chabot Men's Basketball Team who received the #6 seed in Northern California Regional State Playoffs with a 21-7 record and have a first round bye. The Gladiators will host the winner of the College of the Redwoods versus Merced College game this Saturday, March 2, 2024 @ 7:00 P.M. at Chabot's Gladiator Gymnasium - John L Wagoner Court.
