Our Community Grants Program is Now Open for Applications Until March 10!
Today marks the exciting launch of the Community Grants program, our largest grant program for nonprofits working across Miami-Dade County. Every year, we activate funds endowed to our Foundation to address Greater Miami's current needs and greatest opportunities. This year, in partnership with generous philanthropists, especially The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation and Miami-Dade County, Community Grants will once again invest in critical local resources and action to advance equity for all Greater Miami residents.
This year brings exciting changes to Community Grants, including:
-A one-phase proposal process.
-Multi-year grant awards.
-Funding 100% for general operating, unrestricted mission-building support.
Learn more about these shifts on our blog post here.
As part of this year's program, the Inclusion category is made possible by the Sofia Isabel Soto Fund for Inclusion of People with Diverse Abilities in loving memory of Sofia Isabel, the daughter of The Miami Foundation's former president and CEO, Javier Alberto Soto. Funding will support expanded access to education, employment, and community life for people with disabilities.
Additionally, all awards in the Sustainable Environment category will be dedicated to the life and memory of Harvey Ruvin, a long-time County employee with a passion for environmental education and sustainability. This honor is made possible by our deep partnership with Miami-Dade County.
Funding issue areas also include Access to Health and Wellness, Economic Stability, and Thriving Youth and Families. If you are building community in these categories, let's talk! Here are your next steps:
