When hardship puts us behind,
generosity leads us forward.

The Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce exists to advocate, inform, and connect its members to the resources they need -- in good times and bad. We're excited to introduce a new way we're working with our Chamber Partners to serve you: our 'Business Helping Business' Microgrant Campaign.

Intuit, which became a partner of the Reno+Sparks Chamber this August, has volunteered to let us set aside a portion of their partnership investment to create a small grant we can award to a deserving small business in our Chamber community. The grant amount will be $1,000.00.

Whether you need the funds to purchase PPE or hand sanitizer to stay safe and keep your business open, or you're ramping up digital operations and need it to help upgrade your website, we hope this grant will provide some relief.

Here's how it works.

This is how the 'Business Helping Business' Microgrant Campaign will work, plus a few important guidelines:
  • Any Chamber member in good standing that has fewer than 25 employees is welcome to apply;
  • Only complete applications will be considered;
  • The application process will be open from August 5, 2020 at noon to August 19, 2020 at noon; no late entries will be considered;
  • Past recipients of the "Business Helping Business" microgrant are not eligible to apply for future grants;
  • Past applicants of the "Business Helping Business" microgrant are welcome to submit new applications for any future grant;
  • Intuit will choose the recipient of the grant, and the recipient will be notified no later than August 26, 2020; and
  • The grant recipient will need to complete a W-9 form and maintain responsibility for any taxes on funding received.

If you have questions about the program, please get in touch with Kristine Brown, Director of Member Engagement, by email or phone: [email protected], (775) 636-9550.

We're stronger together, now more than ever.

Thank you to Intuit for leading the way with its generosity, and our deepest appreciation to all our members -- big and small -- for supporting the work of the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce.
