The Council, in partnership with The Arc Maryland, is excited to announce Partners in Policymaking® (Partners) is back this fall!

Partners prepares parents of children with developmental disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities to be effective advocates at the state and local level.

Become a Partner

As a partner, you will create change in your community and beyond. You will get the tools you need to create, work towards, and achieve a vision of shared values about people with developmental disabilities.

We are looking for 30 future leaders across the state, including people with developmental disabilities and family members, to make up the 2022 Partners class.

"Partners in Policymaking gave me more confidence to advocate for myself and others. I also learned who to speak with to get things changed!"

-Dominique Palmer, 2021 Partners Graduate
