Success! WDB RADAR Grant Manufacturing
Pre-Apprenticeship Cohort Graduates!

This hands-on training program was made possible through the incredible partnership and support of SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Broome, the SUNY Pre-Apprenticeship Program, the NYS Department of Labor RADAR Grant, Oneonta Working Solutions, and the Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties.
Designed with flexible instruction and applied learning experiences, the program directly addresses the needs of our local manufacturing employers—equipping participants for entry into the workforce or Registered Apprenticeship programs.
In-person training covered:
- Manufacturing safety
- Technical writing
- Blueprint reading
- Measuring devices & hand tools
- Battery assembly
- Soldering
- Shop-floor math
