| | We never turn our backs on the “hard cases”, and in fact open our arms to them. Our mission is to offer hope and new beginnings to the lost and forgotten, the sick, injured and abandoned animals in our community. We believe every life is worth saving! | | | Ruby, shown above, is about 1 1/2 years old and enjoys treats and snuggles. She has the softest fur! She is other cat, dog and kid friendly (cat-friendly kiddos only please). She uses her litterbox religiously and is always cleaning herself. Not able to adopt a new family member like Ruby above? Consider donating or sponsoring an animal in need. We spend over $100,000 on vetting expenses every year, so every donation helps. WE ARE ANIMAL ADVOCATES
Once again we have two other animals that need our help due to the reality of human cruelty.
Meet Annie. She was a victim of displaced rage (the man felt his life was falling apart around him). Subjected to horrific physical abuse at a motel—Annie was violently kicked across a parking lot, left lying in the rain while traffic was forced to stop. Despite her pain, she forced herself to get up and limp toward what she thought was safety, her owner, only to be kicked again—this time into a motel door. All done by the one person who should have protected her. Her tiny body bore the brunt of a storm no living creature should ever face. She arrived to us with broken blood vessels in her eyes, bruised, emaciated and matted, her spirit nearly extinguished by fear. We have put an end to her suffering from such cruelty. Annie is now recovering with the gentle love she deserves in a foster home.

While we were at the Emergency Room with Annie, the universe brought us another soul who had run out of options. Meet Betty. We don't know her true story, but this tiny micro-bully arrived in a state of total heartbreak—covered in infected bite wounds on her mangled leg, some of her paw pads missing, terrible skin problems, worms and her small body emaciated and anemic. We don't know who failed her, but we knew we couldn't walk away leaving her terrified and alone. She is now living with her foster mom enjoying lots of love while healing.
We are watching, we are reporting, and we are fighting for justice.

OUR AUCTION IS RETURNING IN MAY
| |
We will be hosting our 6th Spring Auction. We are accepting new items, vintage items and pre-owned items. Vintage and pre-owned must be clean, in excellent condition and all pieces must be included. We will be collecting items until May 8th.
If you have something to donate, please contact us at CastawayFundraising@gmail.com.
NOTE: To best support our mission, all donated items become the property of Castaway Critters. This allows our team to decide where your gift can do the most good—be it a future auction, raffle, rescue event or directly to one of our animals. We promise to use every gift in the way that most deeply impacts the lives of the animals we serve.

CRITTER CUTENESS
Hi! My name is Petunia and I am around 1 1/2 years old. I was found after I gave birth to a few babies in an outside colony. I have been with the rescue for quite a while now, but I am officially ready to find my furever home.
I am other cat and dog friendly. I love kittens, too! My only dietary restriction is that I must only be fed wet food, as I had my teeth pulled as a result of stomatitis. I don't let it get me down though, I LOVE wet food! I also LOVE Churu! I am quite the talker and will have long chats with you ALL day long.
I am a rather petite girl, I only weigh about 6 pounds and I am a full grown adult cat, so I won't get any bigger than this. My ideal family would have respectful kids that would want to snuggle me, other feline friends, or a quiet apartment. I am versatile and would love everyone!

Don't miss a thing! Follow us on Facebook for all the latest news and updates on what we are doing and to see the animals that are waiting for their forever home. Like 1-year-old Snoopy who, when found, was struggling to walk and was diagnosed with FIP. He went through 84 days of treatment and has been successfully cured. And now, you should see him run! He is cat, dog and kid friendly, too. If you are interested, you can fill out an application at www.CastawayCritters.org/adopt.

For 25 years, Castaway Critters has been a sanctuary for the forgotten, the fragile, and the brave. Since our journey began in 2001, we have dedicated a quarter-century to answering the calls that others might shy away from—running toward the most difficult cases with open arms and steady hope. From large-scale rescues to holding the paw of a single senior soul, our mission has remained unchanged through the decades: to ensure that no animal feels abandoned and that every "castaway" finds their way home. We are now loudly and proudly becoming a more vocal advocate for these animals.
