Name: Kristin Amaral
Library Position: Technology Coordinator
Where will we most likely see you in the library? Chances are, you'll spot me all over the library. You might see me teaching a class in our Learning Center or helping a library patron with a computer. Sometimes you may see me under a table, tangled up in computer cables!
What do you do at the library? As Technology Coordinator, I take care of all our computers and devices. I manage lots of software as well. I offer tech help and computer classes for the public. I am passionate about helping people learn all about technology and maybe even conquer their fear of it!
Tell us about a hobby you take interest in outside of your work at the library. I am obsessed with photography. I learned dark room photography in college. It is truly magical. Photography helps us capture moments we won't ever get the chance to relive again!
What's your favorite place you've visited or a future place you hope to visit? My favorite places are art museums. I've visited many, but have so many more on my bucket list.
What was the best concert you've attended? Hands down, Billy Joel.

Tuesday, April 4th, 6:30-7:30pm, Community Room
The internet is a great place to connect with friends, family, and loved ones, for work, and to learn about the world. It can also be a dangerous place where criminals can find their next victim or get away with theft. Cybercrimes — including hacking, phishing, and malware — aim to access your sensitive personal financial information in order to steal money from you or in your name. Join Lucy Rebelo and Jay Moniz from Baycoast Bank for this informational seminar where we explore some simple ways to keep your information and your money safe from online criminals!

Saturday, April 8th, 10:00am-12:00pm, Learning Center
This is a drop-in writing group that supports writers of all levels. Membership is free, open to the public, and is appropriate for writers aged 18 and older.
If you can put words to paper or keyboard, then you are a writer! We all have stories, opinions, and unique points of view. Writers share them by crafting stories, poems, comics, memoirs, and a dozen other mediums! We look forward to sharing stories with you!
The group is primarily prompt-driven. We’ll introduce a prompt and write to it on the spot. At times, we may offer a writing exercise or “assign” a prompt to be written on one’s own time and brought back to share the following month.
This program does not require registration, but you may sign up below to receive email reminders.
