Hello dear friends and clients,
As I pack away the boots, coats and winter gear, I notice the chartreuse buds on the tamaracks and can’t wait to hit my favorite greenhouse to pick out my summer flower baskets. Of course, what I most look forward to is the return of our snowbird friends, reconnecting with locals and the summer nights we will spend over dinner sharing our stories. I hope to see you at our new office opening on Thursday April 28th, from 4 to 6. Come celebrate spring in the Flathead Valley with us!

Fortunately I have a great team and our experience, consistent record and excellent negotiating skills will successfully lead you toward a sale at the right price. The Lang Team is here to make your real estate dreams come true whatever they are, wherever you are.
Another perk for you, as a luxury home seller, is our exclusive membership in Forbes Global Properties. What does this mean? When you list your luxury, high end property, your home will be opened up to the international market. Click here to view Bigfork properties on the Forbes website providing access to the entire Forbes network. Here's another advantage. Maybe you have always wanted to have a home in Florida, France, Hawaii or the place of your dreams. I can use my Forbes Global Properties referral network to connect you with an expert and knowledgeable Realtor in many national and international markets. Let's talk!

Let’s talk about dog beds. You wouldn’t buy a cheap mattress for yourself. Why would you buy one for your dearest companion? If your dog is energetic like me or old like my buddy, they’ll need, in fact, deserve, a good night sleep.
Here are some reasons to buy a good dog bed:
Reduced joint pain
Better night’s sleep
Supports your dog’s neck, hips, and back
Your older dog will feel younger

Denise's Cooking Corner - Rack of Lamb from Ina Garten with my adjustments and additions!
|
|
A “Happy Spring” dinner with roasted potatoes and asparagus. Did I mention the perfect pairing with Belle Glos Pinot Noir?
Ingredients
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary leaves
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup panko
1/4 cup fresh parsley
Enough olive oil to moisten
2 racks of lamb, frenched (Frenching refers to scraping the meat off the tips of the bones. Ask your butcher to leave 1/8 inch of fat on the meat.)
Directions
In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade, process the salt, rosemary, and garlic until they're as finely minced as possible. Add the mustard and balsamic vinegar and process for 1 minute. Place the lamb in a roasting or sheet pan with the ribs curving down, and coat the tops with the mustard mixture. Allow to stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Roast the lamb for exactly 20 minutes for rare or 25 minutes for medium-rare. Remove from the oven and cover with aluminum foil. Allow to sit for 15 minutes, then cut into individual ribs and serve.

Denise's Book Corner - This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub

This is a touching time travel novel about a women turning 40, her memories and the love of her ailing father.
On the eve of her 40th birthday, Alice’s life isn’t terrible. She likes her job, even if it isn’t exactly the one she expected. She’s happy with her apartment, her romantic status, her independence, and she adores her lifelong best friend. But her father is ailing, and it feels to her as if something is missing. When she wakes up the next morning, she finds herself back in 1996, reliving her 16th birthday. But it isn’t just her adolescent body that shocks her or seeing her high school crush, it’s her dad: the vital, charming, 40-something version of her father with whom she is reunited. Now armed with a new perspective on her own life and his, some past events take on new meaning. Is there anything that she would change if she could?
Those of you who know me, know I had a non-traditional childhood so my parent memories are a bit scattered. That being said, this book strikes a universal cord of turning 40, the nostalgia and crisis of being 16, and the struggle with parents. I think you'll enjoy it. Prepare to laugh, weep and maybe listen to some oldies!
