A NOTE FROM OUR CHAIR
Greetings!

Spring has sprung! I hope you are taking every opportunity to get out and enjoy the warmer weather. Also hope you are finding your way through the Covid vaccine world. It seems we just learned how to act with Covid, now we are all trying to piece together how to act in our vaccinated world. Notice I did not say “post-Covid” because, unfortunately, our lives will probably be forever changed. But - we transition. That’s what we do.

STITCHING AND CHATTING WITH
WHY KNOTS!
The Why Knots SIG has been joyfully stitching together for the last three years, starting out with members interested in needlepoint and adding on others who have talents in cross-stitch, quilting, hand-sewing, knitting, and embroidery.

NEW SIGS AND SIG COORDINATION HELP NEEDED
I see light at the end of the tunnel! Many of us are getting our vaccines and are slowly coming out of isolation. Plus, the weather is warming up which always makes me feel better. It is time to discuss how our SIGs will operate this spring/summer and learn about newly forming SIGs.

GIVING CIRCLE UPDATE AND
SURVEY RESULTS
Lots of great programs and events are happening! We’re well into 2021 at this point, and the Giving Circle continues to focus on what we can do better to have a positive impact in Philadelphia. Look out for the exciting programs and events we have planned. We are succeeding on so many fronts, thanks to our members!

PEER GROUPS
NEW FRIENDS, IDEAS & KNOWLEDGE
Peer Groups can be surprising. Because the peer groups are set up in advance, the members have the chance to become friends with people they might not have known before. And at the same time they can learn about and from each other in lots of ways.

CIRCLES OF IMPACT
TIme. We all have it. We all spend it. How we spend this finite resource tells us who we are. It reflects not only the reality of our current life but our values. During this pandemic time we all have had reflection time. Read on to see how you can volunteer your time in a Circle of Impact

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR TWO VERY SPECIAL EVENTS!
April 5th Reverend Dr. Michelle Simmons is speaking to us about “Successfully Transforming Women’s Lives after Incarceration.

June 9th The TTN Giving Circle’s Annual Fund Raiser event this year is a spirited conversation with the charismatic social activist Sister Mary Scullion on Poverty and Homelessness in Philadelphia.

MEMBER MINGLE UPDATE AND POEM
On March 11, TTN Philadelphia held a Member Mingle. It was online, of course, but a hearty group joined to share a beverage, some snacks (BYO) and an opportunity for some greatly missed company.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING COVID
All TTN activities must comply with current CDC guidelines regarding Covid. We further rely on each member to be responsible for her own health, safety and comfort level. Each TTN SIG and Peer Group should be sensitive to the needs and wishes of all of their members as decisions regarding in-person meetings are made.
IMPORTANT REMINDER!
