April 5th is Read a Roadmap Day

Read a Road Map Day celebrates the old style maps used before the advent of the digital navigation tools most of us use today. Before more modern technology, a road trip involved pulling out - and unfolding! - a paper road map as the norm. While it is great today to have every road at our fingertips within our digital devices, April 5th is all about celebrating the OG road maps that paved the way for today's conveniences.

Take advantage of this fun day to use map-related iSOSY lessons and tools with your students:

April is Stress Awareness Month

Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992. During this annual thirty day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country join forces to increase public awareness about the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.

iSOSY offers a complete lesson entitled "Let's Talk About Stress". The lesson, available in English and Spanish, includes a Pocket Guide, Lesson Script, and Audio Enhancement. The lesson includes a lesson plan and important pre- and post-tests.
