Art as Remembrance

Yom HaShoah Community Commemoration

April 23

7 - 8 pm

Following the annual candle lighting ceremony in honour of our local Shoah survivors, there will be a panel discussion with artists Jacqueline Kott-Wolle and Rafael Goldchain, moderated by Professor Hernan Tesler-Mabé who will explore the theme of "Art as Remembrance." The Jewish Federation of Ottawa thanks Canadian Heritage National Holocaust Remembrance Program for their support of the Federation's Shoah initiatives in the form of a grant. For security reasons, only registered guests will be admitted. More information and register here

Schmooze & Schmear - A 65+ Jewish Men's Social Group

April 7 weekly until May 26 10:30 am - 12 pm

This program provides an opportunity to meet and socialize in a casual relaxed atmosphere, have a nosh, and get to know one another. A senior Jewish male will ensure a safe and confidential environment for group discussions exploring topics of relevance. Food and premises are kosher.
