WaveCel technology is 48 times more effective on preventing concussions than traditional cycling helmets. This new technology is a collapsible cellular structure that lines the inside of the helmet.
It works like a crumple zone that absorbs impact before it reaches your head. Nearly 99 out of 100 times, WaveCel can help prevent concussions. Standard foam helmets? Not so much.

Greetings!
Bike Barn has been assisting an inspirational group of 8th graders from KIPP Connect. These 8 kids with no cycling experience have taken the challenge of riding the BP MS 150 with assistance from teachers, KIPP alumni and Specialized. They are training with great attitudes and full support of their family. Every training ride you will see parents and siblings encouraging them and welcoming them back at the finish.
It shows the fun and transformational side of cycling. These kids weren't forced to ride, they made the decision to take on the challenge. And as cyclists we know cycling is fun, but not fun all the time. These children are working through the tough training to reach the exuberant feeling at the finish. We are confident they will reach their goal and we will help them as much as we can, will you?
