Welcome Lisa Robertson, Executive Director

TCRAS is excited to welcome Lisa Robertson as our new Executive Director.  Lisa has spent her career in non-profit leadership and association management.  She is passionate about non-profit life and is committed to several organizations in a personal way, including the American Heart Association, where she has been a volunteer, donor and ambassador, and the American Cancer Society, where she served on the Cattle Baron's Ball Committee.

Lisa earned her experience from such distinguished organizations as Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she served as the Regional Executive Director in Waco, Texas; the San Antonio Children's Museum - a state of the art, 65,000 square foot, $50 million facility, where she served as their fundraiser specialist and event planner; the Bexar County Medical Society Foundation where she was the Executive Director and worked on their medical scholarship program, and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association where she served as the Chief Operating Officer.

Additionally, community support is very important to Lisa and she has been very active in the communities she has lived in.  She served on the Board for the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.  She volunteered for the Library Foundation, San Antonio Tourism Council, Bexar County Emergency Preparedness Committee and the International Committee.  Lisa is active in her Rotary club, Sertoma, Young Professionals, she sits on the Poverty Solutions steering committee and she has volunteered for the Heart of Texas Urban Garden Coalition.

While Lisa hails from south Texas, she is a long-time lover of Colorado, having spent her summers here with her family. She has an 11 year old Siberian Husky named Skye - who loves long walks and belly rubs.  In her spare time, she takes her mother on adventures and enjoys baking delicious pastries.

She is thrilled to now call Colorado home and is eager to become an active member of this community.  She is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to the animals in our shelter and to learning more about the Teller County area.  We are lucky to have her and look forward to her experience and dedication helping us reach even greater heights!
Volunteer of the Month Pet Pick

Angel is still waiting patiently for her forever people.  She has been with us since June!  Angel is currently my office buddy/keyboard inspector. She enjoys the heater, window and office chair. Even though I'll be sad to see my office mate go, she really deserves a loving home. She is a sponsored pet, which means her adoption fee and supplies are covered by a generous donor.  Please help me find her people..she deserves it!!
