Adult Sunday School is taking Easter off, but the rest of the month has plenty of opportunities:
BIBLE STUDY:
Our Bible Study on Matthew will continue all month, led by Stephen Hilders and other members of the class. Please join us in the Wright Fellowship Hall (enter by the bell tower); we meet in the hall on the left.
PARLOR CLASS - On April 2 and 9, Marilyn White wraps up her class on Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si' ("Praise Be to You"). It is addressed to the whole world and is intended to be a wakeup call about humanity's relationship to and responsibility for the environment and all of God's creation. The class is after church in the Parlor (to your right as you enter the Wright Fellowship Hall by the bell tower). After Easter, the Parlor Class will resume on April 23 and 30, with a subject to be determined. (Got an idea? Now would be a good time to contact Adult Ed scheduler Scott Haring.)

2017 LENT SCHEDULE
April 9th Palm Sunday 10:00AM
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. Our service
opens with the waving of palm branches as we
enter into the sanctuary. Palm branches will be
distributed as you enter the sanctuary.
April 13th Maundy Thursday 6:00PM
Maundy Thursday service will be held in the
Wright Fellowship Hall. A ceremonial hand
washing will begin at 6:00pm followed by a
celebration of the Lord's Supper.
(Please bring a dish to share).
April 16th Easter Sunday 10:00AM
Come & Join us for our Easter Celebration!
Easter worship service begins at 11:00 A.M.
in the sanctuary. Special music will be provided
by "Banned from the Church" and our adult choir.

Be a part of our tradition at Faith as we decorate the sanctuary with Easter lilies. Remember a loved one or give thanks for blessings in your life with flowers at the Communion Table for Easter.

GOT BASKETS?
We're planning for our Third Annual
"Spring" Egg hunt for the THS teen parents and their children to be held on
Friday April 7th 4:30 on the development center grounds on our campus.
Alternate date is Thursday April 13th at 4:30. Date to be confirmed with the director of the center, as well as the number of children. Last year there were 25 children and we hid 250 eggs.

or Jean Frank ([email protected]) to add your name to the list of helpers.
This is a fun event and gives us a chance to meet the staff, students and the little ones sharing our church grounds each day. We'll need just a handful of people at the event to set up a table of juice and cookies, distribute baskets and watch over the gathering of eggs to be sure all go home with a full basket.

FAITH BOOK GROUP
Book group meets on THIRD Monday nights after yoga in the parlor from 7:30 - 9:00-ish. Everyone is invited to join us for any or all of the following book discussions.

NEW HYMNALS:
On Pentecost Sunday, our church will move to the new Glory to God hymnal, which is the newest Presbyterian Hymnal. It has our hymns from the two current hymnals plus 150 new hymns for us to try over time. There are limited copies of Glory to God in the church office if anyone would like to come and peruse them. The majority of our copies of the new hymnal were made possible by an individual gift but approximately the remaining hymnals are available to be purchased for $20 each (at cost) in honor or memory of someone. After our One Great Hour of Sharing offering season has concluded, we will distribute forms for this in the church bulletin. If you would like one now, see Melissa in the church office Mon-Thurs, 9-2 p.m.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY:
Our church chose to try an in-house pictorial directory this year in order to avoid the extra expense of a pictorial directory company that tries to sell us pictures in the process. Susan Sanders and Melissa Trimble have worked very hard to bring it to you and have used extra time to try and catch any mistakes. We just have to admit, though, that those mistakes will exist. We still wish to receive updates/corrections and will update the file so that, hopefully, as we proceed to next year and beyond, the directory becomes better and better. If you see something, please drop Melissa a line at the office and she will get it fixed. The paper copies are in the Narthex and we also have a .pdf version available which you should have received via e-mail this week. If you need that resent to you electronically, just drop Melissa a line at the office - [email protected].

(but we still accept cash and checks as usual!).
How does it work? Scan the QR code below with your smartphone. There are no additional fees for you as the donor. However, as with all such transactions, an administrative fee of 1% will be deducted from your gift before it is delivered to our church. This one-time fee is for the reasonable and customary costs of operation of the Presbyterian Mission Exchange which hosts our electronic giving. If you pay by EFT option, this will be the full extent of the fees deducted. Gifts made using a credit or debit card will be assessed an additional fee of 2.598%+$0.26 (deducted automatically by our card processing vendor). Your full donation, which includes all the fees, is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

LOCKING UP AFTER YOURSELF!
Lately the front and back doors to the sanctuary have been left unlocked. Please help us be vigilant if you are one of the last ones to leave the campus and ensure that the doors are locked and the security alarm is set.
As a footnote, there was an attempted break in through the exterior office door. Thankfully, they were not successful but let this serve as a reminder to please, please, please, check any doors that you use (and even those you don't) to insure that they are secured. Thanks!

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE IN THE HOSPITAL OR IN NEED OF PASTORAL CARE?
Hospitals no longer notify pastors. If you wish a visit from a pastor during your stay, please let us know. Also, if you are unable to get to worship for a long time, we now offer quarterly home communion. It only takes a very few minutes to share communion with our pastor and an elder in your home. Let us know if this is something you would like or if you'd like us contact someone in particular and ask if they would like this provided for them.
