APRIL 1 COVID-19 UPDATE:
Second Suspected Case at CHS

Dear Families & Staff;

Today I was informed that a Concord Hill Grade 3 parent is suspected to have COVID-19 virus. The parent has mild to moderate symptoms, however due to limited testing availability was not tested. The parent and family are self-quarantining at home and the parent is recovering. The symptoms did not become apparent until March 21, so it is unclear if there was any chance that they or members of their family were carrying the virus while school was in session prior to closure on March 13.

Out of an abundance of caution, I want to share this information with you right away. The CDC states that COVID-19 symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure. I will continue sharing reports of suspected or confirmed cases of Concord Hill staff and families if symptoms began prior to March 27.  If you or any household members have had COVID-19 symptoms beginning prior to March 27, I ask that you notify me immediately.

We are committed to transparent communication with our families and staff. We ask that you please monitor the health of yourself and your family, and follow guidelines for social distancing.

This email is being sent to all Concord Hill Families. All communications will also be posted to the CHS Covid-19 Planning & Preparedness page .

Sincerely,
Nate Dennison
