United Way of Siouxland has been working with over 100 local nonprofit organizations to determine the current and anticipated needs of our community. Here is a brief summary.
SERVICES
The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce is planning a presentation on Small Business support, help with SBA forms & more. Contact: Brad Newton
Division of Iowa Community Action Agencies has extended the application period for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) through May 31, 2020. Families can apply for the Energy Assistance program at their local community action agency. This program can help pay a portion of an eligible household's utility bill. Eligibility is based on household size and income. Community action agencies have other types of help available, such as food and clothing pantries, and other services.
Tyson Foods will award financial resources to nonprofit and community organizations that are working on the front lines to provide Tyson communities with emergency assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. Funding may be available for your non-profit organization helping with food relief.
