Some people choose to catch up on lounging and reflecting, others play games, sing, or maybe take on some embodied spiritual activity. Programs are offered for those wanting a little more structure (just a little). So join us, for the first time or come back to this special place.

Save the Date!
Congregational Vote on Sanctuary on May 5.
|
On May 5, immediately after the service, all members of the UUCGL will have the opportunity to vote on whether our church building can be used as a physical sanctuary for a person or persons at risk of deportation. A Yes vote will allow the UUCGL leadership and members to move ahead with plans to offer our church building as a place of sanctuary with the expectation that we will work in partnership with ECCO and other congregations to support this effort. The Board of Trustees recommends a Yes vote. A No vote will stop the efforts to explore using our building as a physical sanctuary.
Please look for the announcement of this vote in your mail. If you have questions about UUCGL becoming a sanctuary congregation, please speak with Rev. Weinstein, the Board of Trustees, or members of the Lynn UU Partnership team. LUUP will also host Fellowship Hour on April 14th and hold a final Q&A session on April 28th.

UUCGL Now a Certified Wildlife Habitat
|
The Green Sanctuary Ministry Team recently applied for and received designation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. This certification confirms that UUCGL grounds sustainably provide food, water, cover, and places to raise young and highlights the importance maintaining the Church’s wooded acreage in combatting the worldwide declining habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, amphibians and other wildlife.
The GSMT plans to hold an all-church work activity to clean up the area by the pond this Spring, and to include more activities that feature our outdoor habitat in the months to come.
