ESG Reporting Contact Needed
This year, Kentucky Housing Corporation's (KHC) Data and Reporting Team has set up an automated email system that will notify each Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)-funded agency's designated ESG report contact. This email will provide the user with instructions for completing the ESG CAPER reporting requirements. It is also important to note that this person will be the person to receive the submission link and instructions, directly from SAGE for each of their ESG project components. The purpose of the ESG report contact is to have one person identified to receive the links and submit their ESG CAPER reports directly into SAGE. Each agency should submit the contact information (name, email, phone number, and agency information) to

by Friday, May 15, 2020, to provide enough time to update the automated system.

USDA Unveils Tool to Help Rural Communities Address the COVID-19 Pandemic
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) COVID-19 Federal Rural Resource Guide lists federal programs that can help rural communities, organizations, and residents impacted by COVID-19.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, unveiled a one-stop-shop of federal programs that can be used by rural communities, organizations, and individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Federal Rural Resource Guide (PDF, 349 KB) is a first-of-its-kind resource for rural leaders looking for federal funding and partnership opportunities to help address this pandemic.
"Under the leadership of President Trump, USDA is committed to being a strong partner to rural communities preparing for and impacted by COVID-19," Perdue said. "This resource guide will help our rural leaders, whether they are in agriculture, education, health care, or any other leadership capacity, understand what federal assistance is available for their communities during this unprecedented time."
USDA has taken many immediate actions to assist farmers, ranchers, producers, rural communities, and rural-based businesses and organizations impacted by COVID-19. For more information on these actions, please visit USDA's website or email [email protected].

Taxpayers who aren't required to file annual returns can now use an IRS.gov web portal to submit basic personal and financial information necessary to receive coronavirus economic impact statements.
"The Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here web portal is a tool for Americans who aren't required to file tax returns to make sure they receive their payment as quickly and safely as possible," said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in a statement on April 10, 2020.
Per Treasury, taxpayers accessing the new tool will be able to enter their full names and Social Security numbers, as well as for spouses and dependents, their mailing address, and bank account type, routing, and account numbers.
According to Treasury, the IRS will launch a separate Get My Payment app later in April. This will allow taxpayers who filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return without their direct deposit information to update that information with the IRS and get their payment quicker electronically than by a paper check through the mail.
Social Security recipients who didn't file a tax return in 2018 or 2019 don't need to take any action, per Treasury. Payments will be made the same way they receive social security income.

Homes for All AmeriCorps Program Applications Now Open
Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky (HHCK) is now accepting applications from organizations to partner with their Homes for All AmeriCorps program for the 2020-2021 program year. They partner with nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based organizations to be host sites for AmeriCorps members. Homes for All members create, find, repair, or maintain housing for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and considered low-income. Their members serve in housing services or construction positions with partners across Kentucky.
Qualified host sites are organizations whose mission and focus are to serve those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, as well as organizations that seek to expand affordable housing opportunities for economically disadvantaged Kentuckians.
HHCK has 39 AmeriCorps slots open for the 2020-2021 program year. The 2020-2021 program year will begin on Saturday, August 1, 2020.

HHCK Announces Mini Grant Opportunity
Through support from the National Low Income Housing Coalition, HHCK is pleased to offer stopgap grant funding in amounts of $1,000 to $7,500 to Kentucky nonprofit organizations working to provide vital housing-related services under COVID-19 conditions. Examples of organizational needs include, but are not limited to, short-term motel vouchers, staffing support, and purchase of personal protective equipment.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Application and instructions are available on HHCK's website.
