Transitions
Rev. Dr. Michael Chittum, Executive Director
|
Over the past several years, the NACCC has been marked by transitions. Let me remind you of some of them. Following the work of the Strategic Planning team, the Ministry Councils came into being. Upon a vote by member church delegates, the NACCC went from being a dual entity – association and corporation – to only a single entity – corporation. Significant from my perspective, and again by vote and direction of the delegate body attending the Annual Meeting and Conference, the NACCC chose to move to a single executive position from multiple executives.

Now, after my announcement of my retirement (effective June 4, 2021) and following the months of faithful and conscientious work by the Executive Director Search Committee, a new Executive Director has been chosen . I am delighted to welcome, Rev. Dr. Ashley Cook Cleere, as the newly named Executive Director of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. Click to read more.

Word Alive Mission - Ghana and Ivory Coast
Julie Robie, Missions Administrator
|
Word Alive Mission continues its God-given ministry of rescuing abandoned and neglected babies. Pastor Charles Nyane sent this picture of the 3-day old baby boy brought to the orphanage at the end of March. Would you pray for protection, care, and love for him and for the other children at the orphanage? Would you also pray for their caregivers, the men and women who tend to them daily and offer them the chance to live in a stable and nurturing environment?

Miles Apart... Connected by Faith 2021 NAPF/HOPE Goes Virtual
Patrick Stewart, NACCC Leadership Council Youth Representative
|
Given the unfortunate circumstances we are still dealing with, we, the NAPF-HOPE Planning Team decided to make the best of it and for the first time, NAPF/HOPE for 2021 will be virtual! The conference will take place June 20th thru June 27th and registration is now open on the NACCC website.
Each church group will receive a kit a few weeks before the conference which will include t-shirts and other materials. Each group will then plan their own week, with access to four pre-recorded messages by individuals that have spoken recently at NAPF/HOPE, and doing a local mission project. Finally, on Sunday, June 27th in the afternoon/evening, we will do a LIVE virtual gathering with fellowship, worship, mission project sharing, & communion. “See” you all this summer!
