Tierney Sutton and Tamir Hendelman - April 27th @ 7pm
9-time Grammy nominated jazz vocalist · standards & originals
Jazz singer Tierney Sutton and pianist Tamir Hendelman have a musical relationship that goes back over 20 years. In that time, Sutton has racked up nine Grammy nominations, and Hendelman has been arranging, recording and performing with a host of luminaries including Barbra Streisand and Natalie Cole, leading his own trio, and being the featured pianist of the Grammy-Winning Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. Tierney & Tamir bring spring to life in their first recording together, SPRING. In Caymmi’s Spring, nights are hushed and luminous; Jobim’s Double Rainbow bursts with radiant bloom. Mercer’s playful Spring, Spring, Spring flutters beside the quiet yearning of Spring is Here, and the journey continues through Gershwin, Jobim, Simon & Garfunkel, and others, tracing joy, introspection, and the promise of renewal. Don’t miss two of the jazz greats of our time!

Synod Gathering! May 28-30 @ Lenoir-Rhyne University
The Synod Gathering is an opportunity to meet and fellowship with people from across the synod—AND it's not just for pastors! Church members and visitors, deacons, pastors, and church professionals will gather to learn, play, worship, and grow together. A group of St. Mark's members attended the last Synod Gathering, and were inspired by what they learned, and met people from all over the state! For more information and to register for the Gathering, click here or scan the code below. Sign-up at the bottom of the stairs by April 24 for this option!

Lose the Loan
As of April 15, over $29,000 has been pledged toward our Lose Another Loan appeal! This generosity means that our highest interest rate loan will be gone by this summer. Once that happens, our total debt will be down about 70% from where it was in August of 2020 (when it was about $600K). That's great news because it means there won't be any other debts to contend with when our last remaining loan comes up for renewal at the end of 2026. This should make it easier for us to find better rates and pay off that final loan faster. Thanks be to God for the faithful giving that has made this possible! And if you haven't made a gift to Lose Another Loan yet, it's not too late. Any additional funds will be applied to reduce the balance on that final loan. Thank you for helping us Lose Another Loan in 2026!
St. Mark's Debt (as of 3/31)
- $24,536.28 Loan Maturity Date: 2/17/2033, Interest Rate - 6.3%
- $174,840.45 Loan Maturity Date: 12/302026, Interest Rate - 3.7%
