Send Us Your Earth Day Videos/Photos!
In honor of Earth Day (April 22) and Creation Care Sunday (April 26), John Hague has offered to create a 2-3 minute video (or perhaps a bit longer) to appear on our YouTube channel. It will be similar to the one he did recently about our Worship and Arts program.
In order for this to happen we’d like to see your video clips of how you’ve celebrated past Earth Days, you in action doing something that benefits the environment, or perhaps beautiful nature scenes you’ve taken at home or while on trips. We’d love verbalized expressions of why environmental conservation is important to you too. Special attention will be given to North Green Team submissions!
The videos should be anywhere from 10-40 seconds in length. Please know that not all videos or photos will be able to be used.
You can share your videos and photos via e-mail, Google Drive or DropBox with
YouTube is a great way to share too; simply make the video “Unlisted” upon uploading and send John the link to it via e-mail.
Please send your submissions to him by 5 p.m. this coming Monday, April 20, so he has time to prepare the video before Creation Care Sunday on April 26.
Send us your prayer requests through this e-mail address:

Discipleship and Formation
New Virtual Adult Sunday School Starts Sunday
Join Dr. Perry Kea, professor emeritus at the University of Indianapolis, for a six-week online Sunday school class on the New Testament. The class will meet virtually via Zoom from 9:45-10:45 a.m. beginning this Sunday, April 19 and will run through May 31, excluding Memorial Day weekend. This class is not only a great way to connect with your fellow North Church members but also to examine different literary genres of the New Testament, compare and contrast the way these documents were read in the ancient church as well as the contemporary church, and look at examples to illustrate what these ancient authors were trying to accomplish. Perry spent the last 35 years teaching biblical studies and early Christian history at UIndy. If you would like to participate please e-mail
Sell for information about how to log into the class.

Missions and Outreach
MLK Center Provides for Local Families
Through a partnership with IndyGo, volunteers at the MLK Center have been able to assist with picking up necessities for people within the Butler-Tarkington community. Volunteers can pick up prescriptions and groceries for families in the area if they have an order waiting at a pharmacy or grocery store. As the demand increases it will have a form on its website for individuals/families to apply for this benefit. Folks can sign up to volunteer, request a food delivery, or make a donation on the center's
. All the links are on the first page.
Big Thank You to North Members for Donations!
We would like to extend a note of sincere gratitude to all those who donated items to be given to families in need. Over 30 bags of items filled with things like diapers, diaper wipes, canned goods, and personal hygiene items were distributed to women, children and infants who are in need. We would not be able to support these families without the compassion and support of members of our congregation.
