Mary Magdalene Church is an inclusive church in the Catholic tradition where people from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to the Lord’s table. We strive to live the values that Jesus taught, to honor and respect each individual and to share the joy of God’s unconditional love in our community and beyond. | |

~A Message from the Young Church Ministry~
One Last Project!
Greetings!
The young members of our community have chosen to support Spirit NYS, a local organization supporting homeless teenagers with the goal of achieving high school graduation.
Homelessness takes on many different forms. Teens may live in cars, parks, or couch surf at friends’ houses. On top of not having a stable home, students may lack parents or long-term guardians. They are in dire circumstances for many reasons including abuse, family trauma, or conflicts.
Spirit NYS empowers unaccompanied teens experiencing homelessness to overcome obstacles as they continue their journey to graduation. Despite facing significant challenges, these resilient young people are making remarkable progress. Through Spirit NYS, they are graduating high school and breaking the poverty cycle.
One way to support the work of this ministry is to fill tote bags which will be given to the teens served by Spirit NYS at the end of this school year. These are bags by the piano at church. Inside the front pocket of each is an envelope containing a list of items suggested for the bag and a notecard on which can be written a few words of affirmation, encouragement, and support for the teens’ perseverance. We ask that filled bags be returned no later than Sunday, May 10th.
As always, the remarkable support for the social justice agencies our youth have chosen to support this year is greatly appreciated.
Thank you SO much!

We are now accepting nominations for two open positions:
- Trustee (three‑year term)
- Alternate (one‑year term)
Nominations will be accepted through May 1st. Forms are available here or on the tables at the church entrances. You may nominate yourself or someone else. Completed forms may be placed in the box labeled Board of Trustee Nominations at the rear entrance or submitted by email to Betty Jerabeck.
Please consider serving in this vital ministry. We especially welcome nominations for parishioners who are newer to our community.
