The School and Community Engagement group at CEISMC located at GA Tech is looking for students to help organize and support summer outreach programs for K-12 teachers and students.

Students who are organized and detail-oriented with experience in event planning, outreach education, summer camps, or  STEAM-related topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) are encouraged to apply. 
  
Multiple student assistant roles are available, each with their own start dates. Each role however is seasonal and limited to Summer 2019.

Pay begins at $10/hr for most roles, though there may be some variance between programs.

Position location varies with some roles located at GA Tech and others located at nearby schools in the metro Atlanta area generally between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Applicants will be considered for each role based on their availability and skillsets.

DUKE TIP SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
The Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP) is still hiring for its academic summer camps for academically talented students in grades 4 - 12. Summer camps are on different college campuses across the country, including Georgia Tech.

Residential and administrative positions are:

  • The Residential Hall Leader
  • The Residential Life Coordinator
  • Residential Counselors

Teaching positions open specifically at Georgia Tech are in:

  •   Architecture in the Urban Environment
  •   Crunching the Numbers: Global Finance
  •   Biomedical Engineering
  •   Neuroscience
  •   Spacecraft Mission Design
  •  Pathogens, Plagues and Patient Zero: Historical Epidemiology
  •  Artificial Intelligence

SOUTHERN TEACHERS AGENCY (STA)
STA works with private/independent, college-preparatory schools around the South to find teacher for subjects ranging from American History to Zoology. Private/independent schools can typically consider candidates who have not gone through a teacher-training program. 

Southern Teachers provides a free service to candidates.

Let’s Talk” is a program that provides easy access to informal confidential consultations with Georgia Tech counselors. Counselors hold walk-in hours at various sites across campus throughout the week. Speaking with a counselor at “Let’s Talk” can provide insight, solutions, and referrals to other campus resources. Just walk in for an informal, friendly, and confidential consultation.
